Dining is invariably a highlight of time spent on a luxury cruise, and now there’s an interesting new variant from Royal Caribbean. ‘Dynamic Dining’ is a completely new culinary experience from Royal Caribbean that gives guests on Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas a landscape of 18 themed restaurants as vast and varied as dining in the world’s most cosmopolitan cities.
With a new take on the main dining room, guests can choose from five complimentary, full service restaurants that offer more choice and flexibility than ever before. Guests also will be in full control of their own epicurean journey via a smart new reservations system that empowers them to decide when, where, with whom to dine, and how to dress each evening.
In addition to old favourites such as Chops Grille Steakhouse and Izumi Japanese Cuisine, Royal Caribbean has added new dining concepts that include a US-style gastropub, and Wonderland, a culinary dreamscape where imaginative chefs prepare
never-seen-before novelties.
A more familiar name you may encounter onboard is Jamie Oliver. The cockney celebrity has opened his first restaurant at sea – the imaginatively titled Jamie’s Italian. The menu is based on tasty, simple Italian food, made from only the best fresh ingredients, and the casual dining experience is welcoming to everyone.
For those worried about calorific overload, there’s Devinly Decadence, created by best-selling author and chef Devin Alexander, where every dish is under 500 calories (and delicious). Yes, they really have thought of everything!
